Trip Overview

Day 1
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a private driver who will escort you to Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa. The journey to the resort takes approximately 10-15 minutes, allowing you to quickly reach your luxurious destination. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the resort’s amenities or simply relaxing in your room.

Day 2
Today is yours to enjoy the resort’s offerings. You can easily access the championship golf course within the resort, and transportation within the property is typically provided by golf carts or on foot. You can use this day to relax, play golf, explore the spa, or partake in any activities offered by the resort.

Day 3
After breakfast at the resort, you’ll depart for Entebbe Golf Club, which is situated a short drive away. Your private transportation will take you to the golf club, where you’ll spend the day on the course. After golfing, your driver will return you to Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort for the evening.

Day 4
Following breakfast, you’ll embark on a drive to Kampala, Uganda’s capital city, to reach Uganda Golf Club. This journey typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a round of golf at this historic club. After golfing, you can either explore Kampala or return to the resort, depending on your preferences.

Day 5
Today is another day to enjoy the resort’s amenities at your own pace. You can choose to continue playing golf, relax by the pool, or indulge in spa treatments. The resort offers shuttle services within the property, making it easy to move around and explore.

Day 6
After breakfast at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa, you’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport, where a private chartered flight awaits to take you to Kasese Airstrip, near Kibale National Park. The flight offers you stunning aerial views of Uganda’s landscape and significantly reduces travel time. Upon landing at Kasese Airstrip, a ground transfer will take you to Primate Lodge in Kibale National Park. Check-in and immerse yourself in the forest surroundings.

Day 7
During your stay at Primate Lodge, you can explore Kibale National Park’s various attractions, including chimpanzee tracking, nature walks, and bird watching. The lodge typically provides transportation for these activities within the park.

Day 8
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Mweya Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey to the lodge is an experience in itself as you pass through the beautiful landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park. After checking in to your luxurious room, typically offering stunning views of the park or the Kazinga Channel, take some time to relax and settle in.

In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge’s restaurant, which often serves a variety of international and local cuisines. After dinner, you can unwind in the comfortable lounge area or take in the sights and sounds of the African wilderness from the lodge’s terrace.

Day 9
Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Wake up early for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Your experienced guide will take you on a safari through the park, providing opportunities to spot a wide range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalos, and various antelope species.

Return to Mweya Safari Lodge for a delicious lunch, which may be served on the lodge’s terrace with panoramic views.

In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat safari offers a unique perspective for wildlife viewing, including hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.

After the boat safari, return to the lodge to freshen up. Enjoy another scrumptious dinner, followed by a relaxing evening at the lodge, where you can share your wildlife sightings and experiences with fellow guests.

Day 10
Chimpanzee Tracking and Cultural Experience

After breakfast, head out for a memorable chimpanzee tracking experience in the Kyambura Gorge, also known as the “Valley of the Apes.” Here, you’ll have the opportunity to observe and learn about these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some downtime. You can choose to relax by the pool, enjoy spa services, or simply take in the breathtaking views from the lodge.

In the afternoon, you can participate in a cultural experience. Visit a nearby community and interact with the local people, gaining insights into their traditional way of life, dance, and crafts.

Enjoy a final dinner at the lodge, reminiscing about your adventures in Queen Elizabeth National Park and savoring the flavors of Ugandan cuisine.

Day 11
After breakfast, you’ll check out of Mweya Safari Lodge and transfer to the airstrip for your private chartered flight to Kihihi Airstrip, near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This flight provides a convenient and scenic way to reach your destination. Upon landing at Kihihi Airstrip, a ground transfer will take you to Trackers Safari Lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Check-in and prepare for your upcoming gorilla tracking adventure.

Day 12
Your day kicks off with an early breakfast at Trackers Safari Lodge, setting the tone for the adventure ahead. Following this, a pre-trek briefing imparts crucial information about gorilla tracking, safety, and the specific gorilla group you’ll visit. Proper gear, including comfy attire, sturdy boots, a daypack, lunch, water, rain gear, and a walking stick, is vital.

Then, join a small group led by an experienced gorilla tracker and an armed ranger. These small groups ensure an intimate experience while minimizing gorilla disturbance.

Next, a brief drive takes you from Trackers Safari Lodge to the trek’s starting point. The drive duration varies based on the gorilla group’s location. Upon arrival, you’ll start your trek into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest’s dense foliage and rugged terrain. This journey, often lasting hours, offers wildlife encounters and a chance to savor the forest’s rich biodiversity.

During the trek, a picnic lunch in a forest clearing replenishes your energy before pursuing the gorillas.

Upon finding the gorilla group, an awe-inspiring hour unfolds as you observe these magnificent creatures feeding, playing, and interacting within their family unit. While you may be eager to photograph the moment, remember to maintain a respectful distance.

After your gorilla encounter, you begin your return trek, providing time to reflect on the adventure and relish the forest’s sights and sounds.

Back at Trackers Safari Lodge, refresh and unwind. In the evening, join fellow trekkers for a celebratory dinner at the lodge’s restaurant. It’s an ideal opportunity to share stories, experiences, and photos, forging lasting memories

Day 13
After breakfast, you’ll check out of Trackers Safari Lodge and begin your journey back to Entebbe International Airport. The drive typically takes around 8-9 hours, allowing for stops along the way. Your private driver will ensure you reach the airport in time for your departure, marking the end of your incredible Ugandan adventure.
